PTO Council

PTO PRESIDENT: Ashley Wade: The President is the Chief Executive and Operating Director of the PTO. He/she presides at all membership meetings and Board of Directors’ meetings, serves as ex-officio member of all committees, communicates with members regarding Rocky Hill activities and information, and represents the PTO in the community.

PRESIDENT-ELECT: Kristy Altman: The President-Elect becomes President the following school year. He/she assists the President and performs all duties and exercises all powers of the President in his/her absence. He/she works with the President to provide training to incoming Board and Council members, collaborates with the Parliamentarian regarding the bylaws and sets goals/strategies for his/her presidential year. He/she serves as a liaison between the Foundation and PTO Board especially during the times of goal-setting and fund raising.

SECRETARY: Karalynne Ley: The Secretary oversees Board and General membership meeting minutes. He/she writes all external correspondence of the PTO, including notes of appreciation and condolences.

PARLIAMENTARIAN: Alice Britton: The Parliamentarian is responsible for the PTO’s By-laws. He/she studies, makes recommended changes, and implements the changes.

FINANCE DIRECTOR: Tamara Crook: The Finance Director is responsible for all aspects of finances of the PTO including statement review, check writing, deposits, budget preparation, contract obligations, and filing of the 501(c)(3) status with the Secretary of State and IRS.

ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR: Katherine Harris: The Assistant Finance Director assists the Finance Director and assumes the duties in his/her absence. Whenever possible, the Assistant Finance Director becomes the Finance Director the following school year.
OPERATIONS

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR: Marques Jordan: The Operations Council Director coordinates the administrative functions of the PTO to include car lobby, kindergarten car lobby, grounds, cafeteria, lost & found, and the clinic.

OUTDOOR MAINTENANCE: Erin Brooke: The coordinator will be responsible for landscape maintenance and improvements. He/she will work with principal for outdoor campus problem resolution.

LOST & FOUND: Lindsey Lindwall: The coordinator is responsible for organizing items in the lost and found and periodically reminding parents to look through the items.

CLINIC COORDINATOR: Tiffany Sipe: The Clinic Coordinator will act as a liaison between the school nurse and the PTO Board. He/she will communicate needs that the school nurse has either for replenishment of supplies (extra clothes, etc.) or special event volunteers (administration of flu mist, health screening, etc.)

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR: Tori Rose: The Communications Council Director directs and manages all PTO Communications to include marketing pieces, press releases, the PTO website, Rambler, front sign, student directory and yearbook.

WEBSITE MANAGER: Jennifer Cline: The website manager is responsible for updating and maintaining the Rocky Hill PTO website.

FRONT SIGN: Amber Moore: The chairperson is responsible for changing the information on the front sign of the school.

PTO BULLETIN BOARDS: Emily Olukalns

STUDENT DIRECTORY: Kate O'Meara, Angie Johnson, Katherine Montuori: The chairperson is responsible for producing and distributing a Rocky Hill Student Directory. The directory includes students’ names, addresses, parents’ names, phone number, grade, teacher, and parent email address. It also includes vital information such as the faculty and staff, a calendar of school events, and PTO Board of Directors information.​

YEARBOOK EDITOR: Jennifer Quinley: The chairperson is responsible for assembling the Rocky Hill school yearbook during the winter months and publishing during the spring.

EDUCATION

EDUCATION DIRECTOR: Jamie Ivie: The Education Director is responsible for the coordination of the PTO’s educational programs for students and teachers. He/she serves as a liaison between teachers/staff and the Board of Directors for educational opportunities and requests. He/she oversees the art department, the library, and after-school enrichment.

ASSISTANT EDUCATION DIRECTOR: Sarah Grappin: Oversees and helps implement education related events at RHES, specifically Mad Science Night and Literacy Night, as well as provides support for the Education Director through the year. This position may move into the director position. ​

ART VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: Margaret Houk: The coordinator assembles volunteers to help Rocky Hill’s art teacher.
​

ARTSONIA: Margaret Houk: The chairperson coordinates this fundraiser that directly benefits the art program. Family members have the opportunity to purchase students’ artwork printed on various gift items.

LIBRARY VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: Natasha Self: The coordinator assembles volunteers to shelve books and assist the Rocky Hill librarian where needed.

BENEVOLENCE COORDINATOR: Katie Loftin: The Benevolence Coordinator works alongside the school counselor and the PTO to provide services for families and staff in need of assistance. This person reaches out to families and staff who have experienced loss.

SERVICE PROJECT COORDINATORS: The Service Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating annual service projects in the spring.

ROCKY HILL CHRISTMAS PARADE COORDINATOR: Abigail Jumper: The RH Parade Coordinator will work with the community organizer of the Rocky Hill parade and Rocky Hill Students (Including Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Rocky Hill Singers) to provide floats, singers, and other services as necessary for the Rocky Hill Community Parade.

DIRECTOR: Hillary Jones: The Events/Fundraising Directors oversee the primary events of the PTO.

ROCKY HILL RODEO: Jennifer Moffitt, Mary Atkins: The coordinator oversees all aspects of the Rodeo and serves as chairman of the committee.​

DINE WITH THE RAMS: Jennifer McVeigh: The coordinator works with local restaurants to setup monthly dining opportunities for families. Restaurants should donate a portion of proceeds to PTO. The coordinator is responsible for the promotion of events.

MERCHANT LIAISON: Julie Beeler, Jennifer Cada: The coordinator manages all ongoing and one-time merchant programs.

SPIRIT WEAR COORDINATOR: Cynthia Dowd: The coordinator designs and sells Rocky Hill apparel to promote pride in our school.

MEMBERSHIP/HOSPITALITY

DIRECTOR: Tracy Lindardo: The Membership/Hospitality Council Director is responsible for fostering a welcoming environment within Rocky Hill’s PTO. He/she coordinates volunteer efforts of the PTO membership and oversees all spirit events.

ASSISTANT MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR: Kelly Jones: The Assistant Director compiles and manages a database for all volunteers. He/she helps parents get involved in the PTO based on interests and experience.

ROOM PARENT COORDINATOR: Heather Winters: The coordinator is the primarily point person with all room parents. He/she will guide a room parent meeting at the start of the school year to inform room parents of their responsibilities. The coordinator will also be a resource for ideas.

KINDERGARTEN ICE CREAM SOCIAL COORDINATOR: Emily Wright, Meghan Taylor: The coordinator oversees planning and logistics of the Kindergarten Ice Cream Social.

TEACHER/STAFF APPRECIATION: Marc Davis, Crystal Davis, Angie Johnson: The coordinator is responsible for all teacher/staff appreciation luncheons (3 times per year), teacher welcome back breakfast, and “teacher treats” once per month.
